Where the mind is without the fear by Rabindranath Tagore was written when India was under imperialist Britain. The poet says that he is aspiring for a place where his fellow citizens could rest assured and live in dignity with their heads held high without fear of oppression. Where all could get access to knowledge without any distinction in terms of creed, race, and religion. may unity prevail! People shouldn't be scared of any and should be truthful while expressing one's minds and everyone should strive to achieve the above-mentioned goals. He asserts that his countrymen must be logical and broad-minded about ideas. So, he ends the poem with a prayer to the almighty to awaken his fellow citizen to see the truth and to be unified to fight for the rights they truthfully deserve.
